Hard Cell is a new Netflix mockumentary comedy series set in a women’s prison developed and directed by multi award-winning British comedian Catherine Tate (The Catherine Tate Show, The Office, Doctor Who).
Tate plays multiple characters as a documentary crew follows the inmates and staff of HMP Woldsley, including Laura Willis, the Governor who believes believes in rehabilitating the inmates through creativity.
Hard Cell is set over a six week period during which the inmates rehearse a musical directed by ex-EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison to find their voices, grow in confidence and strengthen their friendships.
Del worked with the cast of actors to choreograph and stage 3 original musical numbers written exclusively for the series by composer and lyricist Michael Bruce and also makes an appearance on screen as dance captain character Tom.
