Preeya Kalidas is a British singer and actress famed for her roles in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Bombay Dreams, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat & in the soap opera EastEnders.

‘Shimmy’ was her first release taken from her debut album (I’m Over It) Constant Craving. Shortly after her debut, Preeya was awarded the Best Female Act award at the UK Asian Music Awards.

As part of Preeya’s live promotional performances for ‘Shimmy’, choreography on her music video was developed to a full live tv studio performance. The song was performed on British lunchtime television programme Loose Women, ITV’s breakfast show GMTV & BBC’s National Lottery Results.
