MTV Adidas Footlocker | Mix It Up Competition Spot
Movement Genre:

• Stop Motion / Animation
• Street / Hip Hop Dance
Marking the 60th anniversary of the adidas Originals iconic 3-Stripes Trefoil mark introduced by company founder Adi Dassler, adidas created the Mix It Up sneaker and apparel collection available exclusively at Foot Locker.
The commercial’s theme plays homage to the star-studded ‘House Party’ commercial which featured musicians and icons such as Katy Perry, Russell Simmons, Missy Elliott, David Beckham and Ilie Nastase.
Shot in a almost stop motion technique, the spot is built around the notion that the musical scratches of the DJ actually ‘scratches’ and ‘mixes’ clothing worn by the guys at the party. As the DJ cross fades the genres of music on his mixer he cross fades the sneakers and apparel of the guests.
Each performer repeated precise choreographed sequences of movements wearing 2 Originals outfits which were switched in post production, in order to communicate the notion of the ‘Mix It Up’ brand.
