BONDish

Having grown up watching Kung Fu movies through his Hong Kong-born father & Bond films as a Brit, Del trained in martial arts from 10 years old before learning dance. BONDish was a chance to flex and showcase his fight choreography and direction skillset in some unique locations and working with a passionately talented team.

In the film, we see a man following a mysterious female through London and into the Tate Modern, which escalates to a foot and car chase out to the UK countryside, culminating in an epic battle to the end at a castle.

Del trained model and actress Albina Kireeva, who had no fight experience, in 5 realistic choreographed fight sequences involving weapons (guns & knife) and unarmed combat utilising the Gloucestershire castle location’s rooms, staircase and features in one rehearsal day prior to the shoot day with stuntman Jamie Karitzis.

Alongside this, camera movement and shot angles were devised to fluidly show off the journey, intensity and detail of each fight sequence, inviting the audience right into the ebbs and flow of combat.

24 hours. 8 creatives. 2 actors.

The goal: In a rare event, 8 highly established professionals came together from around the globe to create a realistic action piece to all improve their skillset in different areas of filmmaking. The result is BONDish!
