Betfair | Brett Flair & The New Slots

Brett Flair, the face of Betfair, is an all singing and dancing London market seller, with a larger-than-life personality and a nod to the 80s sitcom character Del Boy from the hit British sitcom Only Fools and Horses.

In the campaign “Brett & The New Slots,” Brett is no longer alone and in full 90s music video parody introduces a lively full backing boy band composed of quirky characters includes a Greek God, a backflipping Fisherman, a Cowboy, and a Miner.

Performing a reimagined version of the Backstreet Boys’ hit ‘Everybody (Backstreet’s Back)’, the band lip sync and perform a choreographed dance to camera, in front of a semi-circle of market stalls in an aircraft hanger, the perfect combination of Brett in his natural market environment combined with the nostalgic 90’s music video trope. Add in cheering hysterical fans with homemade signs exalting their love for Brett and his New Slots for even greater effect.

Del worked extensively with the lead actor playing Brett Flair building movement and choreography around him alongside the 4 character actors portraying his full backing boy band. An epic introduction with Brett rising from a manhole with the rest of the band joining him as well as several dance sequences including one with chairs were created bringing a sense of nostalgia, comedy and fun whilst paying homage to highly slick classic boy band music video dance routines we all know.
