I’m Every Woman – The Chaka Khan Musical is a brand new original musical based on the life of recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and 10 time Grammy award winner and is fully endorsed by Chaka Khan herself.

Del as choreographer joins a stellar creative team to bring the ‘Queen of Funk’ Chaka Khan’s explosive and dramatic life to the stage including producer Adrian Grant (he/him), book writer Tina Andrews (she/her) (Sally Hemings: An American Scandal, Why Do Fools Fall In Love?), director Racky Plews (she/her) (American Idiot, Footloose), and Ian Oakley (he/him) (The Color Purple, The Lion King (UK Tours)) responsible for musical orchestrations, vocal arrangements, and musical supervision.

I’m Every Woman features Chaka Khan’s well-loved songs, both as a solo artist and as the lead singer of the band Rufus, including “I’m Every Woman,” “Ain’t Nobody,” “I Feel For You,” and “Higher Love.”

This untold story of Chaka Khan is explored and experienced in flashbacks utilising the unique concept of a present-day musical within a musical about Chaka Khan herself and reveals her passion for civil rights, struggles within a toxic music industry, a dangerous road to a drug-fuelled overdose, and the high pressures of working whilst being a mother.

Chaka herself attended a London workshop presentation of ‘I’m Every Woman’ at the Royal Academy of Dance
